Acceptable Use and Upload Rules

These Acceptable Use and Upload Rules apply to every Linkallup user, workspace, project, upload, comment, annotation, share link, integration, and other use of the Service. They form part of the Terms of Service. Organizations are responsible for ensuring their invited users follow these rules.

Before uploading or capturing a photo, video, audio track, file, or related information, you must:

• have the legal right and business authority to collect, use, store, and share it;
• obtain required permission from the customer, property owner, workers, visitors, or other affected people;
• comply with applicable privacy, surveillance, wiretap, biometric, employment, labor, safety, and intellectual-property laws;
• place it only in the correct organization and project;
• avoid unnecessary personal, confidential, medical, financial, government-identification, or payment information; and
• confirm that public sharing options reveal only information intended for the recipient.

Do not rely on a device timestamp, GPS coordinate, heading, filename, or address lookup as conclusive proof of where or when an event occurred. Preserve independent records when a contract or law requires them.

You may not upload, create, store, request, distribute, or link to content that:

• is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or intended to facilitate wrongdoing;
• sexually exploits or endangers a child, or contains child sexual abuse material;
• depicts non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual exploitation, or unlawful extreme violence;
• infringes copyright, trademark, trade-secret, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• contains malware, ransomware, destructive code, stolen credentials, authentication tokens, or instructions intended to compromise a system;
• exposes another person’s sensitive information without lawful authority and a legitimate business need;
• violates a court order, confidentiality duty, employment restriction, customer agreement, or site rule; or
• is designed to evade these rules or help another person do so.

Do not enter private property, restricted areas, occupied rooms, or controlled worksites without permission. Do not secretly record conversations or people where consent is required. Avoid capturing faces, license plates, home interiors, access codes, alarm panels, keys, personal documents, computer screens, or unrelated neighboring property unless needed and authorized for the project.

Precise location information can be sensitive. Enable location capture only when it is relevant to the documentation and permitted by the organization, customer, and applicable law. Organizations should provide their personnel and customers with any notices required for workplace or jobsite monitoring.

You may not:

• access or attempt to access another organization’s workspace, accounts, projects, media, or share links without authorization;
• probe, scan, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, or circumvent Linkallup security, access controls, upload limits, or rate limits;
• share accounts, passwords, recovery links, access tokens, signed media URLs, or other credentials;
• use automated systems to extract data or upload content except through functionality or written authorization provided by Linkallup;
• impersonate a person or organization, falsify project records, or misrepresent who captured content; or
• use the Service to send spam, phishing, malicious invitations, or unsolicited commercial messages.

Do not use a phone, camera, or Linkallup while driving, operating equipment, climbing, working at height, entering a hazardous area, or performing a task that requires your full attention. Follow the site safety plan, personal protective equipment requirements, restricted-area rules, and instructions from authorized personnel. Capturing documentation never takes priority over physical safety.

Treat each public share link as a bearer link: anyone who obtains it may be able to open it. Review every selected item and every metadata option before creating the link. Do not place share links in public posts, unsecured documents, or broad email groups unless the organization intentionally approves public distribution. Revoke links when access is no longer needed.

Linkallup may investigate suspected violations and preserve relevant information. Depending on severity and legal obligations, we may warn the user, limit uploads or sharing, remove or disable content, suspend access, revoke links, notify the workspace owner, terminate an account or workspace, or report apparent criminal activity or imminent harm to appropriate authorities.

We may act without advance notice when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, protect a person or system, comply with law, or preserve evidence. We may consider context, intent, severity, history, and remediation when deciding what action to take.
